In April, we were thrilled to welcome the Haystacks project team and solar gardeners to the Grong Grong Solar Farm site for a celebration marking the completion of construction and the launch of the solar garden.
Grong Grong Solar Farm hosts the Haystacks Solar Garden, offering members the opportunity to own a virtual 3kW plot worth $4,200 and receive credits on their electricity bills.
Approximately 50 Solar Gardeners, shareholders of Grong Grong Solar Farm, and members of the project team attended the event. They had the opportunity to tour the site and observe the solar panels, trackers, inverter, and transformer station.
Eleanor from Community Power Agency organised a cake as part of the celebrations. With solar panels on top of course!
This was followed with dinner and drinks at the Royal Hotel with great discussions on more innovative models to progress new and community energy. Thank you to everyone that attended this special event!
